Welcome to the PCV hub for all things National Palliative Care Week 2023. Here you will find up-to-date information and resources for this years exciting national campaign.
National Palliative Care Week this May offers a key moment of reflection for all Australians.
Between 21 and 27 May, 2023 ‘Matters of Life and Death’ will be front and centre in our communities’ consciousness as we highlight the 'people at the heart of quality palliative care'.
The 2023 campaign is centered on the launch of the film ‘Live the life you please’. The full-length documentary follows the stories of Australians of all ages and different stages of disease, in a variety of geographical locations, cultural, socio-economic and personal circumstances. The people you will meet in the film will stay with you forever – their powerful stories become something that reaches into your hearts.
Watch the official trailer below:
The film is part of a broader social impact campaign and makes the social and economic case for increased support of essential services including palliative care, aged care, community care, allied health and the support of carers at home.
